Our home reflects our personality and style. When Epsita and Ritesh bought their house, they had lots of ideas they wanted to incorporate in their home design – mostly modern with some transitional and rustic elements. The couple’s search for someone who would understand their requirements and have transparency in business brought them to the 5Genies open house. They fell in love with our design ideas and company ideology. Our promise of “hassle free one stop solution with a single point of contact – the Genie” brought them onboard.
Thank you team for the wonderful support and giving us a masterpiece. The experience was phenomenal and we couldn’t have asked for more. – Epsita & Ritesh.
The 5Genies experience
One of the key takeaways of the design phase is to sort what you “need” from what you “want”. This part can also often be one of the challenges of this phase. We spent quality time with the couple to arrive at a design that stood out to them.
- It is the personal stuff and collections acquired over time that make a home. We incorporated some of their existing furnishings into this design.
- The children’s room was designed to reflect the happiness and energy of their son. And of course, enough storage to organise those toys!
- There was ample book storage for their large collection of books.
- Overall, a modern functional design with clearly separated zones. Social areas on ground floor for play and party and bedrooms on first floor to relax and unwind.
A beautiful design takes on a life of its own when executed well. A glimpse of our work below, reflects the synergy of the dedicated team that transformed the design from its 3D renderings into a beautiful functional home .
Kitchen and Dining
Custom made, open concept kitchen with ample space to play the perfect host. Customised LED light in the kitchen – toggle between white task and mood lighting with a flick of a switch.
A breakfast counter to bring the family together before everyone starts dashing around their day. A bench adds a variation to the dining table and can be pushed under to free up more space.
White pendant lights blend in with daylight whereas the black ones accentuate the breakfast counter.
The custom made swivel TV unit separates the dining and living areas. Aesthetic and practical, the centre table is the jewel of the seating area. Floating shelves for that beautiful shelf decor.
The television can be rotated to allow for flexible viewing. The unit has enough space for external devices and other media. We enhanced the stairway wall with custom made photo frames – it is a great place for displaying family photos.
A cosy living area that looks separate but is still unified with dining area using a well balanced mix of warm and cool colour tones.
A master suite is a place where you relax and unwind. The custom made swivel television unit is practical – watch your favourite shows from the comfort of the bed or while relaxing in the sofa chairs. The hardwood ceiling rafters add an element of traditional charm and go well with rest of the furniture in the room.
Long flowing drapes add elegance and allow for lots of natural light during the day.
A desk gives you the flexibility and privacy you need when you must work from home. It doesn’t have to be all work though! A desk also gives you an alternative to television and get creative or just pen down some thoughts.
Children love to stay in their zone. Here, they sleep, play, work and (if it were up to them) cook and eat. Needless to say the room can get messy. All the elements in the room have been designed and custom made keeping in mind structured and unstructured play, frequent spills and cleanups, and of course the need to tidy up.
A lively room for the couple’s son. A wall unit with well lit desk and shelving for toys, books and knickknacks.
